The romantic Son Josep de Baix estate

A family property for generations

The Son Josep estate was acquired by the great-great-grandfather of Guillem, the current hotel manager. He had three daughters, but only one property. Therefore, he divided the property into three parts, so that each could inherit a portion: Son Josep de Dalt (“upper”), Son Josep de Sa Talaya (“at the Lookout”), and Son Josep de Baix (“lower”). Our rural hotel is located on this lower portion today.

The transformation of the property into the Son Josep de Baix Agritourism establishment began more than 20 years ago and continues to this day. The family’s desire has always been to open the estate to travelers, showing them a glimpse of life on the farm while offering them the comfort and facilities of a hotel.

The most important aspect of the transformation has always been to maintain the original character of the property: stables for sheep, horses, and oxen, as well as barns for grain and straw.

Although everything has been renovated, the charm has been maintained, allowing you to enjoy the history of such a special place without having to give up any kind of comfort.

The historic buildings, the ancient trees that surround them, and the rural setting immediately convey the authentic lifestyle of true Mallorca.

Son Josep de Baix Agrotourism: a rural oasis for families and couples, with 10 apartments nestled within a working farm. The property boasts 400 sheep, chickens, olive trees, fig trees, carob trees, and almond trees, creating an ideal natural environment. Children can play freely and enjoy nature, while adults relax surrounded by animals and without televisions in the rooms.
It features a 5×10 m outdoor swimming pool surrounded by wild olive trees, free parking, and a shop selling quality products such as wines and spirits. The estate is close to the east coast of Mallorca, with several coves less than a 20-minute walk away, perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and fishing. It combines the tranquility of the countryside with proximity to the beach, offering a complete holiday experience.
